Release the Hounds

A new dog run is about to open in my neighborhood and I am proud to say that I contributed towards its creation because back in 2013 I voted for it in a city program called participatory budgeting process. In it, local residents decide where capital funds will go to. In 2013 our district had $1 million allocated towards various programs and this year it is $1.5 million. The dog run's money allocation was $450,000. Wow, I feel like I can build a dog run for much less than that. :) Also, it took three years from the time this project won the funds to completion. Again, I feel like I can build a dog run in a month. :)

And these programs won in 2016 in my district. I did not get to vote this time.
